November 17, 2012 - Junior Jason Bugarin ran to a one-hundred and fifty-second place finish in the Division I M.I.A.A. All-State Meet Saturday afternoon. Bugarin covered the 5k course at Northfield Mountain in 18:02.86 to conclude the Red Raiders 2012 Cross Country season.
November 10, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team ran to a thirteenth place finish at the Central MA Championship Division I Meet held Saturday morning at the Gardner Golf Course.
Leading the way for the Red Raiders over the 2.9 mile course was Jason Bugarin, who finished twenty-eighth in 15:55.6, while Christian Capoccia finished thirty-eighth in 16:24.6, Diosmar Reynoso, one-hundreth, 18:06.7; Josh LeShane, one-hundred and ninth, 18:28.8; and Connor Dufour. one-hundred and twelfth, 18:36.2, completed the scoreing for Fitchburg in the meet were Josh Higgins, one-hundred and thirteenth, 18:36.6; and Geraldo Santiago, one-hundred and thirty-third, 20:22.5.
By virtue of his finish, Bugarin will represent Fitchburg next Saturday afternoon in the All-State Meet in Northfield with the Division I Meet scheduled to get underway at 12:20 p.m.
October 27, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team ran to a fifth place finish at the Mid-Wach A Championship Meet held Saturday morning at Ghiloni Park in Marlboro.
Christian Capoccia led the way over the 5K course, finishing fourteenth with a time of 17:38.6,
while Jason Bugarin finished seventeenth in 17:56.9, Josh LeShane, twenty-ninth, 18:55.0; Diosmar Reynoso, thirty-fourth, 19:55.8; and Josh Higgins, thirty-ninth; 21:03.7; to complete the scoring for Fitchburg. Also running well
was Connor Dufour, who finished fortieth in 21:13.0.
The Red Raiders prepare for the Central Massachusetts Championships to be held on Saturday, November 10, at the Gardner Golf course scheduled to get underway at 10:30 a.m.
October 20, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team ran to a twenty-second place finish at the Bay State Invitational held at Northfield Mountain Saturday afternoon.
In Division I, Jason Bugarin finished forty-fifth over the 5k course with a time of 17:59.9, while Christian Capoccia finished seventy-sixth in 18:48.6; Diosmar Reynoso, one-hundred and fifty-seventh, 21:42.4; Connor Dufour, one-hundred and sixtieth, 22:10.0; and Joshua Higgins, one-hundred and sixty-fourth, 23:12.2, to complete the scoring for Fitchburg.
The Red Raiders travel to Ghiloni Park in Marlboro next Saturday morning to compete in the Mid-Wach A Championship meet scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
October 13, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team ran to a seventh place finish at the 55th Annual Wachusett Invitational held in Holden.
Jason Bugarin finished sixteenth over the 5k course in the Varsity A Race with a time of 17:36.2, while Christian Capoccia finished eighteenth in 17:39.2; Josh LeShane, forty-third, 19:26.9; Diosmar Reynoso, fifty-second, 20:12.8; and Demetri Perez, fifty-eighth, 20:55.9, to round out the top five for Fitchburg. Also running well in the Varisty A Race were Connor Dufour, fifty-ninth, 21:02.0; and Gerardo Santiago, sixtieth, 23:00.8. Representing the Red Raiders in the All-Freshmen Race was Joshua Higgins, who finished forty-seventh in 22:39.0.
The Red Raiders travel to Northfield Mountain next Saturday morning to compete in the 21st Annual Baystate Invitational scheduled to get underway at 10:30 a.m.
October 9, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team defeated the Leominster Blue Devils, 24-32, Tuesday afternoon on Leominster's 2.8 mile course.
Fitchburg was led by Christian Capoccia, who finished first in 16:33. Rounding out the top five were Jason Bugarin, second, 16:34; Josh LeShane, third, 17:07; Diosmar Reynoso, seventh, 18:07; and Josh Higgins, eleventh, 19:15. Also running well were Gerardo Santiago, thirteenth, 19:18; Connor Dufour, fourteenth, 19:29; and Demetri Perez, sixteenth, 20:27.
The Red Raiders travel to Wachusett Regional Saturday morning to compete in the Fifty-Fifth Annual Wachusett Invitational, with the Varsity A Race scheduled to get underway at 11:30 a.m.
October 2, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team was defeated by the North Middlesex Regional Patriots, 26-32, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park.
Fitchburg was led by Christian Capoccia, who finished second over the 2.9 mile course in 16:20. Rounding out the top five were Jason Bugarin, third, 16:26; Josh LeShane, fifth, 17:18; Diosmar Reynoso, tenth, 18:49; and Gerardo Santiago, twelfth, 19:16. Also running well were Connor Dufour, fourteenth, 20:33; Demetri Perez, sixteenth, 20:52. and Josh Higgins, eighteenth, 21:34.
The Red Raiders travel to arch-rival Leominster next Tuesday scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
September 25, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country
team was defeated by the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers, 18-43, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park.
Fitchburg was led by Christian Capoccia, who finished fourth over the 2.9 mile course in 16:05. Rounding out the top five were Jason Bugarin, sixth, 16:26; Josh LeShane, eleventh, 17:43; Diosmar Reynoso, fifteenth, 18:30; and Gerardo Santiago, twenty-sixth, 19:58. Also running well were Connor Dufour, twenty-seventh, 19:58; Demetri Perez, twenty-eighth, 20:06. and Josh Higgins, thirty-eighth, 25:40.

team was defeated by the Shrewsbury Colonials, 24-36, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park.
Fitchburg was led by Jason Bugarin, who finished first over the 2.9 mile course in 16:19. Rounding out the top five were Christian Capoccia, third, 16:46; Josh LeShane, ninth, 17:16; Diosmar Reynoso, twentieth, 19:32; and Connor Dufour, twenty-third, 20:46. Also running well were Demetri Perez, twenty-fourth, 20:54. and Josh Higgins, twenty-eighth, 34:30.

team opened up with a 23-38 loss to Algonquin Regional Tuesday afternoon on the Tomahawks 3.0 mile course in Northboro.
Fitchburg was led by Christian Capoccia, who finished second in 17:19. Rounding out the top five were Jason Bugarin, third, 17:21; Josh LeShane, eleventh, 18:03; Diosmar Reynoso, twenty-second, 20:26; and Connor Dufour, twenty-sixth, 20:46. Also running well were Gerardo Santiago, twenty-seventh, 20:56; and Josh Higgins, sixty-second, 25:56.
