at the New England Championships held Saturday at Thorton Academy in Saco, Maine.
June 8, 2015 - The Fitchburg High School boys' outdoor track & field team combined for a fifth place finish in the team standings
at the 5th Annual Central Massachusetts District E Weight Pentathlon, held Monday afternoon at Crocker Field. The meet features the 100 meters, discus, shot put,
javelin, and 200 meters.
The Red Raiders' team comprised of senior Marcos Diaz, 4th, 2,452 points, junior Michael Bourque, 10th, 2,224 points, and sophomore Rafael Rosario, 37th,
852 points, combined for the team total of 5,528 points. Junior Damon Thammalangsy, 32nd, 1,089 points, and freshman Kyle Koutonen, 36th, 854 points also represented
Fitchburg in the meet. Records were set by Diaz in the javelin, 200 meters, and total points for a senior, while Bourque point total was a record for juniors.
June 6, 2015 - Senior Leo Ramirez led the Fitchburg High School boys' outdoor track & field to a twenty-third place finish at
the MIAA All-State Championship Meet held Saturday at Fitchburg State University.
Ramirez put the shot 56' 7.5" to win the event, and account for all of Fitchburg's points in the meet. Ramirez will represent the Red Raiders in the
New England Championship scheduled for Saturday, June 13th, at Thorton Academy in Saco, Maine, scheduled to get underway at 10:00 a.m.
June 1, 2015 - Senior Leonardo Ramirez, and juniors Michael Bourque and Joshua Higgins
were selected Mid-Wach A All-Stars at the Mid-Wach A Coaches' post-season meeting held on Monday night,
June 1st. Ramirez and Bourque were selected based on his first place performances in the shot put and discus, respectively,
at the Mid-Wach A Championship Meet held at Crocker Field on May 23rd, while Higgins was selected as an At-Large All-Star
for his contributions to his team, and the league, throughout the 2015 Spring season.
May 30, 2015 - The Fitchburg High School boys' outdoor track & field ran to a eleventh place finish at the
Central/West Division I State Qualifier held Saturday at Fitchburg State University.
Leo Ramirez and Marcos Diaz led the way as Ramirez captured the shot put with meet and school record in the shot put with a throw of 58' 2.75", while
Diaz captured the javelin with a personal best 162' 7". Finishing in the top eight were Angel Figueroa, who finished seventh in the 200 meters with a time of
24.18, and Joshua Higgins in the 400 with a personal best 51.42. Also representing Fitchburg in the meet were: Michael Bourque, discus, ninth, 118' 2"; Charlie Jackson,
high jump, tenth, personal best, 5' 8"; Bourque, shot put, thirteenth, 42' 5.5"; the 1600 meter relay team comprised of Ben Phaneuf, Connor St. Germain, Jackson,
and Higgins, fourteenth, season best, 3:47.56; Antonio Williams, discus, seventeenth, 107' 7", and shot put, ninteenth, 40' 6"; the 400 meter relay team comprised of
Williams, Figueroa, Dylan Thanadabouth, and Greg Santiago, twenty-first, 47.09; and Higgins, 800 meters, twenty-first, 2:13.31.
Ramirez and Diaz will represent the Red Raiders in the All-State Championship Meet next Saturday afternoon at Fitchburg State University scheduled to
get underway at 1:00 p.m.
May 23, 2015 - The Fitchburg High School boys' outdoor track & field ran to a fifth place finish at the
Mid-Wach A League Meet held Saturday at Crocker Field.
Michael Bourque led the way capturing the discus, 118' 4", while finishing second in the shot put, 43' 10". Leo Ramirez also finished first,
capturing the shot put with a throw of 54' 4.5". Also finishing in the top six were Joshua Higgins, 800 meters, 2:02.10, second; Charlie Jackson, high jump,
5' 6", third, and triple jump, 37' 6.25", third; the 400 meter relay team comprised of Antonio Williams, Angel Figueroa, Kobe Saddler, and Greg Santiago, 47.72,
fourth; Santiago, 100 meters, 11.94, fifth; Figueroa, 200, 24.72, fifth; the 3200 meter relay team comprised of Ethan Aubuchon, Augustin Sanchez, Connor St. Germain,
and Ariel Sandoval, 10:04.22, fifth; and the 1600 meter relay team comprised of St. Germain, Sandoval, Jackson, and Higgins, 4:03.48, sixth.

May 16, 2015 - The Fitchburg High School boys' outdoor track & field ran to a twelfth place finish at the
54th Fred Warren District E Class A Meet held Saturday afternoon at Shrewsbury High School.
Leading the way was Leo Ramirez, who captured the shot put for the second year in a row with a throw of 54' 10.5". Also finishing in the top six were
Marcos Diaz in the javelin, who finished third with a throw of 147' 7", and Michael Bourque, who finished sixth in the shot put with a personal best, 43' .5". Other
Red Raiders representing Fitchburg in the meet were: Angel Figueroa, 200 meters, eighth, 23.81; Joshua Higgins, 800 meters, ninth, 2:06.68; Greg Santiago, triple jump,

by the Algonquin Regional Tomahawks, 98 to 47, Tuesday afternoon at the Tomahawk's home track.
The Red Raiders were led by the two first place performances of Angel Figueroa, as he captured the long jump with a leap of 16' 7.5", and the 200 meters
in a season best 23.5. Also finishing first were Antonio Williams, shot put, 41' 6.25"; Ben Phaneuf, mile, 5:10.9; Michael Bourque, discus, 115' 1"; and the 1600 meter
relay team comprised of Phaneuf, Charlie Jackson, Jamie Brambila, and Josh Higgins, 3:51.3. Finishing second were: Bourque, shot put, 41' 5"; Brambila, 400 meters,

by the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers, 111 to 34, Tuesday afternoon at Crocker Field.
The Red Raiders had two first place performances in the meet as Michael Bourque captured the shot put, 41' 5", while Charlie Jackson captured the
triple jump with a distance of 36' 7.75". Finishing second were: Bourque, discus, 114' 1"; Jackson, high jump, 5' 6"; Greg Santiago, triple jump, 34' 10.25";
Josh Higgins, mile, 4:55.7; Ben Phaneuf, 800 meters, 2:09.8; and Ethan Aubuchon, 110 meter high hurdles, 19.0. Completing the scoring by finishing third were:

May 2, 2015 - The Fitchburg High School boys' outdoor track & field team competed to a ninth place finish
at the 39th Annual District E Division I Relays held Saturday afternoon at St. John's (Shrewsbury).
The Red Raiders were led by the shot put relay team comprised of Leo Ramirez, Michael Bourque, and Antonio Williams, who combined for a distance
of 136' 4.24" to capture first in the event. Other top six teams included the javelin team comprised of Marcos Diaz, Ramirez, and Kyle Koutonen, which combined for
a distance of 353' to finish third; the triple jump team comprised of Greg Santiago, Charlie Jackson, and Dylan Thanababouth, which combined for a distance of
106' to finish fifth; the 800 meter relay team comprised of Angel Figueroa, Diaz, Jamie Brambila, and Santiago, fifth in 1:39.31; and the 1600 meter relay team
comprised of Jackson, Ben Phaneuf, Connor St. Germain, and Joshua Higgins, which finished sixth in a season best 3:48.08.
Other teams competing in the meet included the 400 meter relay team comprised of Figueroa, Diaz, Williams, and Santiago, season best 47.07, seventh;

77 to 68, Wednesday afternoon at Crocker Field.
The Red Raiders were led by the record breaking performance of Leo Ramirez, who broke Warren Muir's fifty year old record in the shot put with a throw of 55'.
Joshua Higgins and Angel Figueroa were double-winners in the meet, as Higgins captured the pole vault, 6' 6", and the 800 meters, 2:01.1, while Figueroa captured the long jump,
17' 10", and 200 meters, 24.0. Other first place performances were turned in by: Marcos Diaz, javelin, 152' 1"; Michael Bourque, discus, 119' 2"; Ethan Aubuchon, 110 meter

by the Shrewsbury Colonials, 98 to 47, Friday morning at Shrewsbury High School.
The Red Raiders were led by Charlie Jackson, who captured the high jump, 5' 4", triple jump, 37' 10.5", was second in the 400 meters, 58.3,
and teamed with Connor St. Germain, Landon Tucker, and Josh Higgins, to win the 1600 meter relay in 4:03.1. Other first place performances were turned in by:
Leo Ramirez, shot put, 52' 9"; Marcos Diaz, javelin, 140' 7"; and Angel Figueroa, 200 meters, 24.5. Finishing second were: Mike Bourque, shot put, 40' 5.25",
