February 26, 2013 - Emmanuel Bamgbose led the Red Raiders Pentathlon Team Tuesday afternoon to a twenty-fifth place finish at the
Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center. Bamgbose scored 2,492 points, and in the process broke the school pentathlon record in the long with a leap of 20' 10'75". Seniors
Ezra Brice and Connor Lemieux comprised the rest of the three man team scoring, 2,254 points, and 1,790 points, respectively, to complete the team's scoring. The one
day event included competition in the 55 meter high hurdles, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 1000 meters.
February 17, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team competed in the State Division II Championsips held
Sunday afternoon at the Reggie Lewis Center. The Red Raiders were led by C.J. Jones's ninth place finish in the shot put with a throw of 46' 4.75". Connor Lemieux ran
a season best in the 300 meters finishing eleventh in 37.21, and then combined with Ezra Brice, Diosmar Reynoso, and Nik Myles to finish eleventh in the 800 meter relay
in 1:36.55. Also representing Fitchburg were Emmanuel Bamgbose in the long jump, fourteenth, 20' 1"; Leo Ramirez in the shot put, nineteenth, 43' 3"; and the 1600
meter relay team comprised of Jason Bugarin, Josh Higgins, Brice, and Reynoso, twenty-fourth, 3:42.82.
Lemieux, Brice, and Bamgbose will represent Fitchburg High School next Tuesday afternoon in the MSTCA Pentathlon scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m. at
the Reggie Lewis Center.
February 11, 2013 - Senior Connor Lemieux was selected a Mid-Wach A League All-Star Monday night by league coaches for his
outstanding performances throughout the indoor track & field season.
February 10, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team competed to a fifth place finish at the District E
Division I Championship Meet held Sunday afternoon in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by Connor Lemieux, who finished second in the 300
meter run with a time of 38.41. Lemieux then teamed with Ezra Brice, Emmanuel Bamgbose, and Nik Myles to finish third in the 880 relay with a season best 1:43.12. C.J.
Jones was third in the shot put with a throw of 44' 9.25", while Leo Ramirez, Diosmar Reynoso, and Jason Bugarin were fourth in their respective events, the shot put,
44' 1.5", the 600 meters, 1:33.36, and the two mile, 10:26.30. Completing the scoring for the Red Raiders was the mile relay team comprised of Joshua Higgins, Myles,
Reynoso, and Brice, which finished fifth in 3:54.71.
Fitchburg travels to the Reggie Lewis Center Sunday morning to compete in the Division II State Qualifier scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m.
February 2, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team competed to a fifth place finish at the Mid-Wach A
League Meet held Saturday morning in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by C.J. Jones, who finished second in the shot put with a throw of 45'
4". Other top point performances in the meet were turned in by Connor Lemieux, and Diosmar Reynoso, who finished third in their respective events, the 300 meters,
38.60, and the 600 meters, 1:31.56. Jason Bugarin also scored in two events, finishing fourth in the two mile, 10:23.30, and fifth in the 1000 meters, 2:52.43. Also
finishing in the top six was the mile relay team comprised of Josh Higgins, Josh LeShane, Reynoso, and Ezra Brice, which finished third in 3:57.93; the 880 relay team
comprised of Brice, Lemieux, Marcos Diaz, and Nik Myles, which finished fourth in 1:45.70; the two mile relay comprised of Higgins, Connor Dufour, Ben Phaneuf, and
LeShane, which finished fifth in 9:44.70; and Emmanuel Bamgbose, who finished sixth in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.69.
The Red Raiders host the District E Invitational Championships this Sunday afternoon with Division I scheduled to get underway at 12:30 p.m. in the Doug
Grutchfield Field House.
January 26, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team turned in a number of top performances Saturday at
the 50th Annual M.S.T.C.A. Invitational Track & Field Meet held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center at Roxbury Community College. The boys' were led by C.J.
Jones, who finished second in the shot put with a career best 48'. Christian Capoccia ran a career best in the 600 meters, finishing eleventh in 1:26.60, which
qualified him for the State Division II Championships scheduled in February. Jason Bugarin and Diosmar Reynoso, also ran career bests, finishing twenty-sixth in the
two mile, 10:16.28, and and 600 meters, 1:29.86, respectively. Also representing Fitchburg in the meet was Ezra Brice, who finished sixty-seventh in the 55 meter dash
in 7.06.
The Red Raiders host the Mid-Wach League Championships this Saturday morning with Mid-Wach A scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m. in the Doug
Grutchfield Field House.
January 23, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team was defeated by Algonquin Regional, 51 to 40,
Wednesday night in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by Jason Bugarin, who captured the two mile, 10:42.3, and the 1000 meters, 3:00.4.
Individual wins went to Christian Capoccia, mile, 4:58.7; Connor Lemieux, 300 meters, 39.4; and Diosmar, Reynoso, 600 meters, 1:33.5. Finishing second for Fitchburg
were C.J. Jones, shot put, 44' 5"; Emmanuel Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles, 8.6; and Josh LeShane, 1000 meters, 3:05.0. Completing the scoring with third place
finishes were Leo Ramirez, shot put, 41' 5.25"; Bamgbose, high jump, 5' 8"; Paul Duenas, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.1; Ezra Brice, 55 meter dash, 6.9; and Brandon Feliz,
300 meters, 42.0.
The Red Raiders travel to the Reggie Lewis Center Saturday morning to compete in the M.S.T.C.A. Indoor Invitational Track & Field Meet scheduled to get
underway at 9:30 a.m.
January 19, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team finished twentieth overall at the 45th James
Kalperis M.S.T.C.A. Division II Indoor Relays held Saturday morning at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center at Roxbury Community College. The Red Raiders were led by
their 50 yard dash shuttle relay team made up of Emmanuel Bamgbose, Nik Myles, Connor Lemieux, and Ezra Brice, which finished fourth in a school record time of 22.78.
The previous mark had stood since 2000. Also finishing in the top ten was the shot put relay team comprised of C.J. Jones, Leo Ramirez, and Hunter Sallila, which
finished eighth with a combined distance of 125' 4.75"; and the 800 meter relay team comprised of Diosmar Reynoso, Lemieux, Christian Capoccia, and Brice, which also
finished eighth in a season best 1:36.25. The 1600 meter relay team comprised of Josh Higgins, Jason Bugarin, Capoccia, and Reynoso finished fourteenth in a season
best 3:42.00, to qualify for the Division II State Qualifier in February. The sprint medley team comprised of Higgins, Myles, Marcos Diaz, and Connor Dufour also
represented Fitchburg finishing fourty-first in 4:15.00.

January 9, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team defeated the Leominster Blue Devils, 71 to 20,
Wednesday night in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by Emmanuel Bamgbose, who captured the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.6, high jump, 5' 8",
while teaming with Berny Platel, Nik Myles, and Ezra Brice to win the 880 relay in 1:45.9. Jason Bugarin was a double-winner capturing the mile in 5:07.9, and 1000
meters, 3:01.1. Individual first place performances went to C.J. Jones, shot put, 43' .5"; Platel, 55 meter dash, 6.8; Connor Lemieux, 300 meters, 39.9; Christian
Capoccia, 600 meters, 1:32.2; and the mile relay team comprised of Joshua Higgins, Josh LeShane, Capoccia, and Diosmar Reynoso, 3:59.8. Second place performances went
to Leo Ramirez, shot put, 40' 3.5"; Lemieux, high jump, 5' 4"; Higgins, two mile, 11:37.0; Paul Duenas, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.0; Reynoso, 600 meters, 1:33.3; and
LeShane; 1000 meters, 3:01.3. Completing the scoring by finishing third were Hunter Sallila, shot put, 39' 2.5"; Eric Tran, 300 meters, 44.4; and Ben Phaneuf, 1000
meters, 3:14.4.

January 6, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School Freshmen/Sophomore boys' indoor track & field team turned in several season best
performances at the Auerbach Freshman/Sophomore Meet held Sunday at the Reggie Lewis Center at Roxbury Community College. Leo Ramirez earned a medal in the shot put
finishing fourth with a throw of 40' 2.25". Also representing Fitchburg were: Josh Higgins, two mile, twenty-seventh, 11:05.96; Nick Myles, 55 meter dash, forty-
eighth, 7.50; Marcos Diaz, 55 meter dash, fifty-fourth, 7.54; Greg Santiago, 55 meter hurdles, fifty-third, 11.28; Ben Phaneuf, 1000 meters, sixtieth, 3:13.45; Johnson
Dang, 600 meters, seventy-sixth, 1:46.93; and Jared Morcaldi, mile, 5:50.56.

January 3, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team was defeated by Shrewsbury Thursday night, 52.5 to
38.5, in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. First place performances for the Red Raiders came from C.J. Jones, in the shot put, 45' 8.5'; Emmanuel Bamgbose, 55 meter
hurdles, 8.5; Christian Capoccia, 600 meters, 1:32.7; and the 880 relay team comprised of Jonathan Rivera, Connor Lemieux, Capoccia, and Ezra Brice, 1:48.5. Second
place performances went to Brice, 55 meters, 6.7; Jason Bugarin, mile, 5:10.8; Diosmar Reynoso, 600 meters, 1:33.7; Lemieux, 300 meters, 39.3; and Josh LeShane, 1000
meters, 2:57.0. Completing the scoring by finishing third were Leo Ramirez, shot put, 43' .5"; Josh Higgins, two mile, 12:24.0; Brice, high jump, 5' 6"; and Paul
Duenas, 55 meter hurdles, 9.6.

December 27, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team turned in a number of top performances Thursday
afternoon at the MSTCA Holiday Qualifier held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center at Roxbury Community College. The boys' were led by Connor Lemieux, who ran a
season best 37.47 in the 300 meters to finish fourth overall. Lemieux then teamed with Berny Platel, Christian Capoccia, and Ezra Brice to finish fifth ih the 800
meter relay with a season best 1:36.88. Their time qualified them for the Division II State Qualifier in February. Also cracking the top six was Platel in the 55
meter dash, who finished sixth in 7.01. The 1600 meter relay team comprised of Diosmar Reynoso, Jason Bugarin, Christian Capoccia, and Josh LeShane, finished seventh
in 3:46.41, while Reynoso was thirty-eighth in the 600 meters in 1:35.90.
The Red Raiders take on Shrewsbury on Thursday, January 3rd, starting at 5:00 p.m. in the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
December 19, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team was defeated by Wachusett Regional Wednesday night,
61 to 30, in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by C.J. Jones, in the shot put, 42' 6.75'; Ezra Brice in the high jump, 5' 6"; Connor Lemieux
in the 300 meters, 39.6; and Christian Capoccia in the mile, 4:56.7; who all garnered first place performances. Second place performances went to Leo Ramirez, shot
put, 40' 4.75"; Jason Bugarin, two mile, 10:38.7; and Berny Platel, 55 meter dash, 6.8. Completing the scoring by finishing third were Emmanuel Bamgbose, 55 meter
hurdles, 8.6; and Diosmar Reynoso, 600 meters, 1:36.4.

December 15, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School boys' indoor track & field team turned in season best performances at the Winter
Festival Large School Meet held Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center at Roxbury Community College. The boys' were led by the 1600 meter relay team
comprised of Diosmar Reynoso, Jason Bugarin, Christian Capoccia, and Josh LeShane, which finished sixth in 3:47.25. Other performances were turned in by: C.J. Jones,
tenth, shot put, 42' 6"; Emmanuel Bamgbose, tenth, long jump, 19' 6.25"; Connor Lemieux, thirteenth, 300 meters, 37.79; Capoccia, thirteenth, mile, 4:51.76; Berny
Platel, fifteenth, 55 meter dash, 6.99; Bugarin, sixteenth, two mile, 10:28.25; Reynoso, eighteenth, 600 meters, 1:32.43; Brice, eighteenth, long jump, 17' 11.75";

50 to 41, in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by Emmanuel Bamgbose, who captured the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.6, and high jump, 5' 6", while
individual first place performances went to C.J. Jones, shot put, 43'; Jason Bugarin, two mile, 10:42.1; and the 880 relay team comprised of Berny Platel, Connor
Lemieux, Bamgbose, and Ezra Brice, 1:43.2. Second place performances went to Hunter Sallila, shot put, 38' 1"; Platel, 55 meter dash, 6.6; Joshua Higgins, two mile,

Don Woods Memorial Invitational Track Meet held Saturday morning in the Doug Grutchfield Field House. The Red Raiders were led by Connor Lemieux, who finished first in
the 300 meters, 38.9, and C.J. Jones who finished first in the shot put, 41' 4.5". Finishing second were: Josh LeShane, 1000 meters, 3:12.4; Christian Capoccia, mile,
5:02.3; Jason Bugarin, two mile, 10:57.9; Emmanuel Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles, 8.8; and Tommy Duong, shot put, 36' 8.75'. Finishing third were: Ezra Brice, high
jump, 5' 8"; while Lemieux was fourth in the high jump, 5' 6"; and Paul Duenas, was fourth in the 55 meter high hurdles, 9.8. Completing the top six performances for
