March 10, 2012 - Senior Toni Onikeku completed the indoor track season Saturday evening by clearing 6' 5" to finish thirteenth in the high jump
out of a field of thirty-two at the New Balance Indoor Nationals held at the New Balance Armory in New York, New York.
February 27, 2012 - Senior Toni Onikeku was selected a Midland-Wachusett League A All-Star for the 2011-2012 indoor track & field season.
Onikeku achieved this honor by finishing first in the high jump at the Mid-Wach A League Championship Meet held on Februay 4th.
February 16, 2012 - The Fitchburg boys' indoor track & field team competed Thursday night
with several season best performances at the M.I.A.A. Division II State Qualifying Meet held at the Reggie Lewis Center, Roxbury Community College.
C.J. Jones led the way with a season best 45' 9" in the shot put to finish ninth, while Eric Myles was twenty-first in the same event
with a season best 43' 2.5". The 800 meter relay team comprised of Peter Montalvo, Connor Lemieux, Toni Onikeku, and Ezra Brice also ran a season best
1:37.66, to finish twenty-second. Also representing Fitchburg was Lemieux in the 300 meters, 39.35, thirty-eighth, and Onikeku in the high jump, no height.
February 11, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team finished sixteenth with a total of
16 points at the District E Division I Championsips held Saturday afternoon at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Toni Onikeku led the way finishing second the high jump with a height of 6' 2", while teaming with Peter Montalvo, Connor Lemieux, and Ezra Brice
to finish fourth in the 880 relay with a time of 1:42.80. Other top six performances were turned in by C.J. Jones in the shot put, 44' 10.75", fifth; and
the mile relay comprised of Lemieux, Diosmar Reynoso, Montalvo, and Brice, 3:59.45, fifth. Also representing Fitchburg in the meet were Caleb Neilon, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.10, twelth; and Montalvo, high jump, 5' 4", sixteenth.
Fitchburg travels to the Reggie Lewis Center Thursday afternoom to compete in the State Division II Championship Meet scheduled to get underway at 4:30 p.m.
February 4, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team finished fifth with a total of
36 points at the Mid-Wach A Championsips held Saturday afternoon at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Toni Onikeku led the way winning the high jump with a height of 6' 6", while teaming with Berny Platel, Connor Lemieux, and Ezra Brice
to finish second in the 880 relay with a time of 1:45.16. Other top six performances were turned in by C.J. Jones in the shot put, 44' 10", third;
Brice, 55 meter dash, 7.04, fourth; the mile relay team comprised of Caleb Neilon, Ryain MacLean, Diosmar Reynoso, and Peter Motalvo, 4:09.35, fourth;
Lemieux, 300 meter dash, 40.18, fifth; and the two mile relay comprised of MacLean, Connor Dufour, Reynoso, and Montalvo, 9:45.64, fifth.
Also representing Fitchburg in the meet were Eric Myles, shot put, 40', seventh; Platel, 55 meter dash, 7.11, seventh; Sebastian
Dalmaud-Belmonte, shot put, ninth; Neilon, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.64, tenth; and Montalvo, high jump, 5' 4", tenth.
Fitchburg hosts the District E Invitational Division I Championship Meet next Saturday afternoon scheduled to get underway at 1:30 p.m.
January 29, 2012 - Fitchburg High School senior Toni Onikeku cleared 6' 2" Sunday morning to finish fourth
at the MSTCA Elite Meet held at the Reggie Lewis Track Center, Roxbury Community College.
Fitchburg hosts the Mid-Wach Championships this Saturday with Mid-Wach A Meet scheduled to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
January 28, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team turned in a number of
fine performances at the MSTCA Coaches' Invitational Meet held held Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track Center, Roxbury Community College.
C.J. Jones led the way with a ninth place performance in the shot put with a season best 44' 7.5", while teammate Eric Myles was
twenty-third in the same event with a throw of 41' 10". Also representing Fitchburg were Connor Lemieux, who ran a season best 38.50 in the 300 to finish
fifty-ninth, and Ezra Brice in the 55 meter dash, who finished fifty-sixth in 7.05.
Senior Toni Onikeku will represent Fitchburg in the high jump tomorrow morning in the MSTCA Elite Meet, also to be held at the Reggie Lewis Center, scheduled to
get underway at 9:30 a.m.
January 18, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team dropped a double-dual meet to
Wachusett Regional and Doherty Memorial by the identical score of 69-21, Wednesday night at the Wachusett Regional field house.
Berny Platel led the way verusus Wachusett Regional, winning the 55 meter dash in 6.8, while teaming with Connor Lemieux, Toni Onikeku,
and Ezra Brice in the 800 meter relay to win that event in 1:42.1. The only other first place performance was turned in by Lemieux in the 300
meters in 40.1. Brice captured second place in the 55 meter dash, 6.8, while completing the scoring with third place performances were Eric Comeau
in the shot put, 39' 3"; Onikeku in the high jump, 5' 8", and Peter Montalvo in the 600 meters in 1:37.8.
Versus Doherty Memorial Fitchburg did not earn one first place, but had second place performances from Comeau, shot put; Onikeku, high jump,
Abi Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.1; Platel, 55 meter dash; Montalvo, 600 meters; and Lemieux, 300 meters. Completing the scoring with third place
performances were Caleb Neilon, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.3; Brice, 55 meter dash; and Diosmar Reynoso, 600 meters, 1:38.8.
Fitchburg travels to the Reggie Lewis Center Saturday morning to compete in the 49th Annual MSTCA Indoor Invitational Track & Field Meet
scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m.
January 15, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team ran to a ninth place finish Sunday at the
James Kalperis MSTCA State Division II Relays.
The Red Raiders were paced by their high jump relay team comprised of Toni Onikeku, Connor Lemieux, and Peter Montalvo, which finished first with a
combined height of 17' 3". Also representing Fitchburg in the meet was the shot put relay team comprised of Eric Myles, Sebastian Dalmaud-Belmonte, and Tommy Duong,
thirteenth, 115' 6.25"; the 50 yard dash relay team comprised of Berny Platel, Abi Bamgbose, Onikeku, and Ezra Brice, thirteenth, 23.42; and the 800 Relay team
comprised of Platel, Lemieux, Montalvo, and Brice, fifteenth, 1:39.51. The 800 relay team's time qualified them for the Division II Championships to held later on
in February.
Fitchburg travels to Wachusett Regional Wednesday afternoon for a double-dual meet verus Wachusett Regional and Doherty Memorial scheduled to get underway at 4:30 p.m.
January 11, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team earn a split with Leominster and Algonquin
Regional Wednesday night, defeating the Blue Devils, 67-24, while losing to the Tomahawks, 61-30, at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Toni Onikeku was the star of the meet, breaking Dan McDermott's forty year old record in the high of 6' 5", by clearing 6' 7" on his third attempt to capture first
place against both teams. Other first place performances versus Leominster were turned in by Eric Myles, shot put, 40' 4.5"; Abi Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.0;
Berny Platel, 55 meter dash, 6.8; Peter Montalvo, 600 meters, 1:35.2; Connor Lemieux, 300 meters, 40.3, the 880 yard relay team comprised of Platel, Lemieux, Trey Mahone,
and Ezra Brice, 1:45.1; and the mile relay comprised of Caleb Neilon, Josh LeShane, Montalvo, and Disomar Reynoso, 4:12.4.
Second place performances were turned in by Sebastian Dalmaud-Belmonte, shot put, 38' 1"; Montalvo, high jump, 5' 4"; Ryain MacLean, two mile, 11:58.6;
Neilon, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.2; Brice, 55 meter dash, 7.0; Reynoso, 600 meters, 1:38.8; Eric Tran, 300 meters, 43.8, and Zac Peterson, 1000, 3:14.3. Completing the scoring
with third place performances were Tommy Duong, shot put, 37' 9"; Brice, high jump, 5' 2"; and LeShane, mile, 5:26.0.
Versus Algonquin Regional other first place performances were turned in by MacLean in the two mile; LeShane in the mile; and the 880 relay team comprised
of Platel, Lemieux, Mahone, and Brice. Finishing second was Peterson in the 1000 meters, while completing the scoring with third place performances were Myles in the shot put;
Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles; Platel, 55 meter dash; Connor Dufour, mile, 5:57.6; Montalvo, 600 meters; Lemieux, 300 meters; and MacLean, 1000, 3:17.2.

January 7, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School freshmen-sophomores men's indoor track & field team shined
at the 27th Annual Auerbach Freshmen-Sophomore Meet held Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track Center, Roxbury Community College.
Hunter Sallila led the way finishing 14th in the shot put with a personal best, 36' 1", out of 78 competitors. Also turning in stellar performances by event were:
Abi Bamgbose, 55 meter dash, 34th, 7.36; and Quinn Cavaco, 88th, 8.08; Eric Tran, 300 meters, 76th, 43.09; and Tony Duong, 44.81; Diosmar Reynoso,
600 meters, 24th, 1:37.17; Zac Paterson, 1000 meters, 55th, 3:09.16; Joshua LeShane, mile, 77th, 5:33.54; and Connor Dufour, 5:47.60; Ryain MacLean,

January 4, 2012 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team was edged out by North Middlesex
Regional, 48-42, Wednesday night at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
First place performances were turned in by Toni Onikeku in the high jump, 5' 10"; Eric Myles, shot put, 43': Caleb Neilon, 55 meter high
hurdles, 9.3; Connor Lemieux, 300 meters, 40.3; and the 880 relay team comprised of Berny Platel, Lemieux, Onikeku, and Ezra Brice, 1:43.4.
Second place performances were turned in by Tommy Duong, shot put, 38'; Abi Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.5; Brice, 300 meters, 40.9; and Peter Montalvo, 600 meters, 1:37.4.
Completing the scoring with third place performances were Eric Comeau, shot put, 37' 11"; Brice and Montalvo, high jump, tie at 5' 2"; Ryain MacLean,
two mile, 12:14.2; Platel, 55 meter dash, 6.8; and Josh LeShane, mile, 5:31.2.

December 28, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team defeated Milford,
50-41, Wednesday morning at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Toni Onikeku led the way for the Red Raiders, finishing first in the high jump, 6' 3", and in the 55 meter dash, 7.1, while teaming with
Abi Bamgbose, Connor Lemieux, and Ezra Brice in the 880 relay to finish first in that event, 1:44.3. Other first place performances were turned in by
Eric Myles, shot put, 39' 5.25"; Bamgbose, 55 meter high hurdles, 9.7; and Brice, 300 meters, 40.7.
Second place performances were turned in by Tommy Duong, shot put, 36' 8"; Ryain MacLean, two mile, 11:38.3; Caleb Neilon, 55 meter high hurdles,
9.8; Lemieux, 55 meter dash, 7.1; and Peter Montalvo, 600 meters, 1:38.1. Completing the scoring with third place performances were Sebastian Dalmaud-Belmonte,

December 18, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team turned in
some top performances at the MSTCA Winter Festival held Sunday morning at the Reggie Lewis Center, Roxbury Community College.
Toni Onikeku led the way for the Red Raiders, finishing first in the high jump with a leap of 6' 4", while Berny Platel finished
thirteenth in the 55 meter dash, 7.04: the 800 meter relay, Platel, Connor Lemieux, Onikeku, and Ezra Brice, thirteenth,
1:47.80; Lemieux, 300 meters, twenty-first, 39.20; Brice, twenty-third, 55 meter dash, 7.14; and Peter Montalvo, seventy-fourth,
300 meters, 41.84.
Fitchburg hosts Milford, Wednesday, December 28th, with that meet scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
December 14, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team fell to Shrewsbury, 56-34, Wednesday
night at the Colonials' home track.
Toni Onikeku led the way for the Red Raiders, once again clearing 6' 5" to win the high jump, while teaming with Berny Platel, Connor Lemieux,
and Ezra Brice to win the 800 meter relay in 1:45.0. Other first place performances were turned in by Lemieux in the 300, 42.0; and the 1600 meter relay
comprised of Caleb Neilon, Diosmar Reynoso, Zac Peterson, and Peter Montalvo, 4:14.9.
Second place performances were turned in by Eric Myles in the shot put, 39'; Platel, 55 meter dash, 6.9; Montalvo, 600 meters, 1:38.6; and Neilon,
55 meter high hurdles, 9.3. Completing the scoring with third place performances were Brice in the 55 meter dash, 6.9; and Peterson in the mile, 5:40.0.

December 10, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School men's indoor track & field team
turned in some top performances at the "Don Woods" Inviational held Saturday morning at the Doug Grutchfield Field House. Toni
Onikeku was the star of the meet, leaping 6' 5" to eclipse the FHS Field House record of 6' 2.25" set by Kevin Carriere in 2004.
Other top six perfomances were turned in by event were: shot put: Eric Myles, 39' 2", first; Tommy Duong, 37', third;
