March 3, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team ran to an eighteenth place finish at the 15th Annual Massachusetts
State Track Coaches' Pentathlon held Wednesday evening at the Reggie Lewis Track and
Athletic Center, Roxbury Community College.
Senior Tyler Boudreau led the Red Raiders finishing 20th out of 86 athletes, by scoring
2,690 points in the five event competition comprised of the 55 meter high hurdles, the
long jump, the high jump, the shot put, and the 1000 meter run. Boudreau's points
combined with the points scored by junior Brandon Davis, 68th place, 2,191
points, and freshman Ezra Brice, 86th place, 1,344 points, accounted for the team’s total of 6,225
points, and Fitchburg’s overall place in the meet.
February 20, 2010 - Tyler Boudreau and Brandon Davis represented the Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Facility, Roxbury Community College.
Boudreau finished twenty-fourth in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.79, while Davis was
twenty-fifth in the mile, 4:53.24. Boudreau, Davis, and Ezra Brice will represent the Red Raiders at the
MSTCA 15th Annual Indoor Pentathlon on Wednesday, March 3rd, at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Facility, Roxbury Community College, with the meet scheduled
to get underway at 3:30 p.m.
February 13, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team rolled a pair of sevens at the District E Division I Championship Meet held Saturday afternoon
at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Tyler Boudreau and Brandon Davis each finished seventh in their respective events, the
55 meter high hurdles, 8.57, and mile, 4:52.18, to turn in Fitchburg's top performances in the meet.
Boudreau also competed in the high jump, 5' 6", thirteenth, and combied with Davis, Ezra Brice, and Ethan Diaz
in the mile relay, finishing eleventh in 3:57.35. Also representing the Red Raiders in the meet were
Brice, 300 meters, 40.96, ninth; Eric Myles, shot put, 37' 9", twelfth; and Tommy Duong, shot put,
34' 4.25", twenty-fourth.
Boudreau and Davis will represent the Red Raiders at the State Division II Championships
next Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Facility, Roxbury Community College, with the meet scheduled
to get underway at 2:30 p.m.
February 8, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team ran to a fifth place finish at the Mid-Wach A Championship Meet held Saturday afternoon
at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Tyler Boudreau led the way for the Red Raiders finishing third in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.48,
fifth in the high jump, 5' 6", and combining with Brandon Davis, Jeffrey Duenas, and Ethan Diaz in the mile relay to finish fourth
in 3:58.93. Boudreau's time in the 55 meter high hurdles also qualified him for the Division II State Championships on February 20th.
Davis also added points in the mile run finishing fourth in 4:54.05, while the 880 relay team comprised of
Ezra Brice, Zach Cote, Connor Lemieux, and Alex Vazquez finished sixth in 1:54.95.
The Red Raiders host the District E Championships this Saturday with the Division I meet scheduled to get underway at 1:30 p.m.
January 30, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team turned in several top performances for the season Saturday at the
47th Annual M.S.T.C.A. Indoor Invitational Track & Field Meet held at the Reggie Lewis Center, Roxbury Community College.
Brandon Davis led the way for the Red Raiders running a career best 4:47.89 in the one mile run,
which qualified him for the Division II State Championships on February 20th. Also running personal bests were Tyler Boudreau in
the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.62; and Ezra Brice and Jeffrey Duenas in the 300 meters, running 39.40, and 40.07, respectively.
The Red Raiders host the Mid-Wach Championships this Saturday with the Mid-Wach A Championship scheduled to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
Red Raiders Overwhelmed By St. John's (Shrewsbury)
January 27, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team was overwhelmed by St. John's (Shrewsbury), losing 75-16, Wednesday night at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Brandon Davis and the 880 relay team led the way for the Red Raiders. Davis captured the mile in 5:00.0, while in the
relay Colton Matthews, Alex Vazquez, Erik Bennett, and Tommy Duong combined for first in 1:57.5. Finishing
second for Fitchburg was Tyler Boudreau in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.7, while third place performances were turned in by
Ezra Brice, 55 meter dash, 7.0, and 300 meters, 41.2; Bennett, 600 meters, 1:44.6; and Duong, shot put, 34' 6".
The Red Raiders travel to the Reggie Lewis Center this Saturday morning to compete in the 47th Annual
Boys M.S.T.C.A. Indoor Invitational Track & Field Meet scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m.
January 23, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team couldn't catch the Gardner, losing 56-35, Saturday morning at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Tyler Boudreau and Brandon Davis led the way. Boudreau captured first in the high jump, 5' 4", while finishing
second in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.5. Davis captured the mile, 4:55.9, and was second in the 1000 meters with a
personla best, 2:57.1. Also finishing first for Fitchburg were Tyler Robar, 55 meter dash, 7.2; Tommy Duong, shot put, 35' 5.5"; and the 880 relay team
comprised of Jeffrey Duenas, Ezra Brice, Josh Jenness, and Robar, 1:48.8.
Finishing second for Fitchburg was Duenas in the 300 meters, 41.3. Completing
the scoring with third place performances were Jon Vander Hamm, two mile, 12:28.5, and 600 meters, 1:45.1; and Zach Cote,
55 meter high hurdles, 11.6.
The Red Raiders host St. John's (Shrewsbury) Wednesday night with that meet
scheduled to get underway at 5:00 p.m.
January 20, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field was swept by Shrewsbury, 75-16, and Wachusett Regional, 80-11, Wednesday night at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Against Shrewsbury, Tyler Boudreau, captured first in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.5,
and high jump, 5' 6". Completing the scoring by finishing second were Brandon Davis in the mile with a personal best, 4:54.3;
and Eric Myles in the shot put, 36' 6".
Against Wachusett Regional, Davis finished first in the mile, while Boudreau was runner-up in both the
55 meter high hurdles, and high jump.
The Red Raiders host Gardner Saturday morning with that meet scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
January 16, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field performed well Saturday morning at the James Kalperis MSTCA Division II Relays held at
the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center, Roxbury Community College.
The Red Raiders were led by the 50 Yard Shuttle Dash "A" Team comprised of Ezra Brice, Jeffrey Duenas,
Tyrie Osby, and Tyler Robar, which finished fifteenth in 23.63. Also competing for Fitchburg was the Sprint Medley Team
comprised of Brandon Davis, Robar, Chris Dumas, Jr., and Tyler Boudreau, twenty-sixth, 4:00.66; the 800 Meter Relay
"A" Team comprised of Duenas, Brice, Osby, and Patrick Hodges, twenty-sixth, 1:40.94; the 1600 Meter Relay Team comprised
of Boudreau, Davis, Jon Vander Hamm, and Hodges, thirty-sixth, 3:54.16; the 50 Yard Shuttle Dash "B" Team comprised
of Dumas, Jr., Eric Myles, Tommy Duong, and Colton Matthews, forty-sixth, 25.83; the 800 Meter Relay "B" Team comprised
of Connor Lemieuz, Alex Vazquez, Duong, and Matthews, fifty-first, 1:52.31; and the Shot Put Team comprised of Myles,
Hodges, and Duong, which combined for 103'.
The Red Raiders host Shrewsbury and Wachusett Regional Wednesday night with that meet
scheduled to get underway at 5:00 p.m.
January 9, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field fell to the Milford Scarlet Hawks, 56-34, Saturday morning at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Once again Tyler Boudreau and Brandon Davis led the way. Boudreau captured first in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.6,
and high jump, 5' 10", while Davis captured the mile, 5:07.7, and 1000 meters, 2:58.9.
Fitchburg's other first place finish went to Jeffrey Duenas in the 300 meters, 41.7.
Finishing second for Fitchburg were Ethan Diaz, shot put, 33' 10"; and Duenas, 55 meter dash, 7.2. Completing
the scoring with third place performances were Tommy Duong, shot put, 33' 2"; Diaz, 300 meters, 43.5; and Martin Ortiz, Jr.,
600 meters, 1:47.3.
The Red Raiders host Algonquin Regional Wednesday night with that meet
scheduled to get underway at 5:00 p.m.
January 6, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field earned it's first win of the season, defeating arch-rival Leominster,
53-37, Wednesday night at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Leading the way was Tyler Boudreau and Brandon Davis. Boudreau captured first in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.6,
and high jum, 5' 6", while combining with Jon Vander Hamm, Ethan Diaz, and Erik Bennett, to win the mile
relay in 4:20.9. Davis was a double winner, capturing the mile, 5:02.2, and 1000 meters, 3:04.1.
Other first place finishes went to Vander Hamm, two mile, 12:07.8; Bennett, 600 meters, 1:51.5; and the 880
relay team comprised of Ezra Brice, Chris Dumas, Jr., Colton Matthews, and Tyler Robar, 1:53.6.
Finishing second for Fitchburg were Eric Myles, shot put, 35' 2"; Robar, 55 meter dash, 7.2; and Tyrie Osby, 300 meters, 42.7. Completing the scoring with third place performances were Osby, 55 meter dash, 7.3; Brice,
300 meters, 42.9; Diaz, shot put, 32' 8"; and Chris MacLean, 1000 meters, 3:40.5.
The Red Raiders host Milford this Saturday morning with that meet
scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
December 28, 2009 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field freshmen-sophomores turned in several top performances Tuesday
morning at the Mid-Wach Frosh/Soph Meet held at Marlborough High School.
Eric Myles tossed the shot put a personal best, 38’ 5” to win the event,
while Ezra Brice placed in two events, finishing third in the 300 meters, 43.2, while
combining with Chris Dumas, Jr., Colton Matthews, and Tyler Robard in the 4x236 meter
relay to finish third in 2:23.6.
Also representing Fitchburg by event were: Shot Put - Tommy Duong,
seventh, 31’ 6”; Sebastian Dalmaud-Belmonte, eighth, 31’ 3”; Robar, twenty-second, 27’
7”; and Anthony Dellogono, twenty-sixth, 26’ 9”. High Jump - Dumas, Jr., tenth, 4’ 8”;
Brice, fourteenth, 4’ 4”, and Mike Richard, N.H. 2 Mile - Adam Whitcomb, seventh,
15:51.0. 40 Meter Hurdles - Zach Cote, tenth, 9.3. 40 Meter Dash - Robar, seventh, 5.7;
Duong, twenty-first, 6.11; Matthews, thirteenth, 6.0; Myles, fortieth, 6.4; Ian Vonderhaff,
forty-fourth, 6.5; Dalmaud-Belmonte, fifty-first, 6.6; Joe George, fifty-seventh, 6.7; and
Dellogono, sixty-second, 6.81. 300 Meters - Dumas, Jr., sixteenth, 47.1; and Richard,
twenty-seventh, 50.9. 1000 Meters - Chris MacLean, twelfth, 3:58.7.
The Red Raiders host Leominster next Wednesday with that meet
scheduled to get underway at 5:00 p.m.
December 19, 2009 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team lost their opening dual meet of the season to North Middlesex
Regional, 64-26, Saturday morning in the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Tyler Boudreau led the way finishing first in the high jump, 5’ 6”, and
second in the 55 meter high hurdles, 8.7. Also finishing first for Fitchburg was Eric
Myles in the shot put, 37’ 10.25”. Finishing second for the Red Raiders were Jeffrey
Duenas in the 55 meter dash, 7.1, and Patrick Hodges, 300 meters, 41.1.
Completing the scoring for Fitchburg were Hodges, shot put, 36’ 6.75,
and high jump, 5’, and Brandon Davis, mile, 5:07.9, and 1000 meters, 3:05.1.
The Red Raiders freshmena and sophomores will be traveling to
Marlboro High School on December 29th to compete in the Mid-Wach Frosh/Soph Meet
with that meet scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
December 12, 2009 - The Fitchburg High School men’s
indoor track & field team opened the season with a number of top performances at the
“Don Woods” Inivtational held Saturday morning in the Doug Grutchfield Field House.
Tyler Boudreau led the way finishing third in the high jump, 5’ 6”, and
fifth in the 55
meter high hurdles, 9.1. Other top six performances were turned in by Brandon Davis,
mile, 5:11.5, and Jon Vander Hamm, two mile, 13:00.9, who both finished fifth in their
respective events.
Also competing for Fitchburg by event were: Shot Put - Robert
Anthony, 28’ 6”;
Anthony Dellogono, 28’ 3”; Tyler Robar, 28’; Jose Rodriguez, 27’ 4”; Dylan
