The plans for the footballgame on Friday night turned out great. Many of us met in the Crocker Field Clubhouse prior to the game for refreshments, and then we marched on to Crocker Field, and to our seats to watch a great game versus Brockton. And of course there was Slattery's after the game. A great time was had by all.
Doug Romano and Nancy Sweeney enjoyed showing off the new building Saturday morning. The tour started at 10:00 a.m., with several different graduating classes participating in the event.
Finally, the was a huge success, with over 150 attending the event."Double Take" put on a good show. We had quite a few "new" faces at the 25th, with many classmates travelling great distances to be with us. We hope they enjoyed the comraderie of being with their high school classmates, and that perhaps even new friendships were formed as a result. We truly hope everyone enjoyed themselves during the weekend's festivities!!!
Thanks go out to all of you who contributed to the Class Gift. We received many generous donations, and through everyone's efforts, here is what will be presented to the following high school related programs:

On Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at 7:00 p.m., in the new Fitchburg
High School Auditorium, the Alumni Association held it's annual meeting
recognizing members of the Class of 2001 with the annual Alumni Awards.
Over 100 seniors applied for, and received, awards totaling $46,000 to
be used toward furthering their education.
Classmates Doug Romano, Scot and Diane (LaCross) Maynard,
Jo-Ann Altieri, Kathy (Valiton) Daulton, Martha (Visco) Thomas, and Chris
Woods entered the auditorium representing the class, with Romano, Class
Speaker; Altieri and Thomas, Class Gift; and Woods, "Reflections of 1976",
each having a few moments to offer their thoughts on reaching our 25th.
The Class of 1976, and the Class of 1951, joined together with students,
parents, staff, administration and alumni, to the honor the first class
to graduate from the New Fitchburg High School. This is a special
year for the Class of 1976, and the Class of 1951, as they celebrate their
25th, and 50th class reunions, respectively.
